In spring, a profusion of interesting bell-shaped white flowers dangle delicately from every branch, looking like hundreds of tiny tutus waiting impatiently for their fairy owners. The flowers give way to interesting four-winged fruits that dry to a deep brown and persist well into winter, and the foliage often turns an attractive golden yellow. This small tree is the perfect focal tree for a small yard or add it to your woodland garden – either way, you’ll be dazzled by this tree’s spectacular spring display.
