Stoneleigh: a natural garden

There are few plants that are as simple and delightful as Yellow Wood Poppy. Its golden-yellow flowers bring cheer to the woodland garden in early spring and the interesting bluish-green, lobed leaves add texture for months if the soil remains moist. Like many spring-blooming ephemerals, it relies on ants to spread its seeds, so don’t be alarmed to see them hanging around.
