One important thing to know about winterberries is that they are dioecious so female plants need male plants for pollination to produce those gorgeous berries. ‘Mr. Poppins’ is a perfect companion for ‘Berry Poppins’, ‘Berry Heavy’ and any other early flowering winterberries. ‘Mr. Poppins’ is handsome in his own right, its glossy green leaves and small stature makes it perfect for a mixed border hedge. One male plant can pollinate five female plants!
