Pretty Sedge is a pretty sedge that grows in the woods (aptly named!). Dense clumps of striking green and yellow blades wrapped in red-tinged sheaths. Fruits later in the spring and summer. Pretty Sedge will spread through underground rhizomes to form mats.

Conditions: Dappled sunlight to full shade; moist, loamy soil
Size: Less than 1′
Zone: 4 – 6
Wildlife Value: Flowers attract small pollinators
