Pearly Everlasting

Anaphalis margaritacea

Struggling with pool, rocky or sandy garden soil where nothing seems to thrive? This lovely plant might just love it there. Pearly Everlasting prefers dry, sunny areas and doesn’t mind nutrient pool soil. Its silver foliage and ivory white flowers are excellent in a perennial border or combined with ornamental grasses. It begins flowering in summer and often blooms through the fall, attracting numerous late season pollinators.

Conditions: Full sun; average to dry soil
Size: 1′ – 3′
Zone: 3 – 8
Wildlife Value: Flowers attract pollinators, including small butterflies and skippers; larval host for the American Lady Butterfly.
