Helmet Flower
Scutellaria integrifolia
These dainty two-lipped flowers remind us of snapdragons and put on their colorful show in late spring to early summer. Tiny scoop-shaped seed heads linger to add an interesting textural element to the landscape. Helmet Flower makes a lovely addition to the front of a mixed bed, low sunny spot, or rain garden.
