Coastal Doghobble

Leucothoe axillaris ‘ReJoyce’

If you enjoy rooting for the underdog, then ‘ReJoyce’ Coastal Doghobble is the ideal native shrub for you. Doghobble is often looked over for traditional non-native shrubs such as boxwoods and Japanese hollies, but ‘ReJoyce’ will have you celebrating all year round with its infinite aesthetic appeal. New leaves burst in a blaze of wine red over older green foliage in the spring. Delicately arching branches boast long-blooming white flower clusters throughout the summer. And Doghobble’s blaze rekindles in the fall when its foliage turns a glowing amber-red, which persists throughout the winter months.
