Azure Blue Sage

Salvia azurea ‘Grandiflora’

Blue is the rarest color in the world of flowers, and even rarer among plants of the eastern US, but lucky for us, Azure Blue Sage lives up to its name. This spectacular plant dazzles with truly blue flowers that bloom prolifically atop stems of silvery foliage in late summer and fall, ushering in the cooler season with its cooler tones. ‘Grandiflora’ blooms with even larger flowers, creating a truly magnificent display. With a rambling habit, this lovely perennial is best planted among friends to prop up its long stems – or try a summer cutback to manage its growth. Either way, Azure Blue Sage is a stunning addition sure to delight bumblebees and gardeners alike.

Size: 3′ – 5′ tall, 3′ – 6′ wide
