Symphyotrichum oblongifolium ‘October Skies’

This low, mounding Aromatic Aster can fit into just about any garden bed. This robust plant stays short and compact and can tolerate dry spells all while continuing its long-blooming display. As you may guess, it flowers in October to give us a final flush of beautiful periwinkle blue before winter.

Zone: 5 – 8
Wildlife Value: Flowers attract many butterflies, hover flies, pollinating wasps, and native bee species, including several pollen specialists; larval host for over 100 butterflies and moth species
