Erin McCormick
Senior Director of Land Conservation
Erin is an attorney by training and her work with Natural Lands is centered on overseeing all of Natural Lands’ conservation easements. Working with the four-person easement team, her responsibilities include enforcement actions, amendments, records management, reviewing land management decisions, and engaging with easement landowners and partners. She’s also responsible for coordinating Natural Lands’ renewal of accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
Prior to joining Natural Lands, Erin clerked for the Earthrise Law Center (formerly Pacific Environmental Advocacy Center) in Portland, Oregon, one of the leading environmental law clinics in the country.
She earned her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School, and a B.A. in biology from Rutgers University. She was admitted to the state bar of New Jersey in 2006.
A native of New Jersey, Erin names the Piping Plover as her favorite species, and enjoys watching the chicks at the beach. “They look like little cotton balls with two toothpick legs and are endlessly entertaining, especially when they do an inevitable face plant.”
