Where We Work

There are many conservation organizations working in local communities and specific watersheds in our area, but Natural Lands Trust is the only land trust working throughout the entire region.

That means we can take a large-scale view of conservation priorities while working locally in hundreds of communities. Currently, we are actively involved  in every county in southeastern Pennsylvania as well as the Poconos and the South Jersey Bayshore.

Within this region, we own and manage nature preserves in 12 counties, hold conservation easements and other restrictions on more than 19,000 acres, partner with municipalities (over 150 in 26 counties in Pennsylvania to date) to support their own open space efforts, and help landowners steward the natural resources on their land.

We have also identified several high-priority landscapes that are of special ecological significance are are working with a variety of partners to preserve them.
