History The Glades was created when Natural Lands Trust purchased 956 acres of marsh and upland near Fortescue in 1963. Since that time, we have purchased thousands of acres more. Today, it is our largest single preserve and continues to grow. Highlights

The Preserve is open from sunrise to sunset.
Rules and Regulations
The Refuge’s primary purpose is to provide habitat for native plants and wildlife. We welcome appropriate passive recreation. Please observe the following rules.
