Center for Conservation Landowners
Stewardship planning is an essential first step to understanding the condition of your land and how it can be improved to benefit natural systems. Natural Lands Trust has a wealth of experience in developing stewardship plans for private landowners, municipalities, institutions, and non-profit organizations. We offer the following services as part of the Center for Conservation Landowners:
We prepare several levels of stewardship plans, ranging from preliminary assessments based on a single site visit to comprehensive plans that include species inventories, implementation strategies, restoration and routine cost estimates, and task prioritization, as well as offer consulting services for specific projects. As part of the planning process, we research the public information for a site, record new observations about plants, animals, and their habitats during site visits, and identify conservation priorities that reflect the landowner’s ecological, recreational, scenic, or programmatic interests. Ideal for landowners and managers who are just becoming familiar with stewardship, a Stewardship Assessment is the most basic and cost-effective plan that the Center for Conservation Landowners offers. The Assessment will provide you with information and recommendations to establish your conservation priorities and care for your natural resources. Costs are determined on a sliding scale starting at $1,250 and based on the size and complexity of your property:
