Outreach & Education

Center for Conservation Landowners

One of the primary purposes of the Center for Conservation Landowners (CCL) is to share our knowledge about the importance and practice of land stewardship. Using our preserves as models and outdoor classrooms for ecologically-sound stewardship practices, we encourage landowners and land managers to enrich interior forests, restore native meadows, and revitalize streamside corridors degraded by overuse or neglect.

Our approach to landowner outreach includes:

  • Field trips to Natural Lands Trust preserves
  • Presentations for landowners & land managers (municipal & institutional)
  • Workshops demonstrating hands-on techniques
  • Handbook providing tools & techniques
  • Case study profiles

We continue to integrate new and more effective land stewardship tools and practices into the management of our preserves and are always excited to share these new approaches in the services we offer through our center.
